BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY CURRICULUM


Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) curriculum 

PROGRAM 1: Foundational Studies

1. Old Testament Survey (3 credits)
An overview of the Old Testament’s historical, theological, and literary content, focusing on God’s covenantal work with Israel and its relevance today.

2. New Testament Survey (3 credits)
A study of the New Testament’s background, structure, and message, with special attention to the life of Christ and the early church.

3. Biblical Hermeneutics (3 credits)
Introduction to the principles and methods of biblical interpretation, emphasizing a literal, historical-grammatical approach to Scripture.

4. Baptist History and Distinctives (3 credits)
A comprehensive study of the origins, development, and key doctrines that define the Baptist faith, including biblical authority and the priesthood of believers.

5. English Composition and Research (3 credits)
Training in academic writing, research methodology, and effective communication for theological studies and ministry.

6. Christian Ethics (3 credits)
Exploration of moral principles derived from Scripture, addressing contemporary ethical issues faced by Christians today.

7. Church Financial Management and Accounting (3 units) 
 It covers basic accounting practices, financial reporting, auditing procedures, and the responsible use of church resources.

8. Electives: (3 credits)
-Music with Instrument (Piano, Guitar), Song Leading, Sound teñññ/

-Legal Matters in the Ministry, 

-Sign Language. 

-Basic Health & Emergency first Aid


PROGRAM 2: Biblical and Theological Foundations

1. Systematic Theology I (3 credits)
A study of core doctrines, including Bibliology (the doctrine of Scripture), Theology Proper (the nature of God), and Christology (the person and work of Christ).

2. Systematic Theology II (3 credits)
Continuation of doctrinal study covering Pneumatology (the Holy Spirit), Soteriology (salvation), and Angelology (angels and spiritual beings).

3. Life and Teachings of Jesus (3 credits)
An in-depth examination of the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Gospels and its implications for Christian living.

4. Acts and the Early Church (3 credits)
Analysis of the Book of Acts, focusing on the spread of the Gospel, church growth, and the work of the Holy Spirit.

5. Pastoral Care and Counseling (3 credits)
Practical training in biblical counseling principles and providing spiritual guidance for individuals and families.

6. Church Administration (3 credits)
Study of effective church leadership, organization, and management in line with biblical principles.

7. Bible Psychology(3 credits)
Explores how biblical teachings shape human behavior, emotions, and thoughts, focusing on the mind, soul, and spirit to understand human nature from a biblical perspective.

PROGRAM 3: Advanced Biblical Studies

1. Systematic Theology III (3 credits)
Exploration of Ecclesiology (the church) and Eschatology (end times), emphasizing the Baptist view of the local church and Christ’s return.

2. Homiletics I (3 credits)
Introduction to the art of sermon preparation and delivery, focusing on expository preaching and sound biblical teaching.

3. Greek for Biblical Studies (3 credits)
Basic study of biblical Greek to enhance understanding of the New Testament’s original language.

4. Missions and Evangelism (3 credits)
Study of biblical missions, the Great Commission, and strategies for evangelism and church planting.

5. Epistles of Paul (3 credits)
Detailed examination of Paul’s letters, focusing on their theological content, pastoral insights, and practical application.

6. Christian Leadership (3 credits)
Biblical principles for developing spiritual leadership, including servant leadership and team ministry dynamics.

7. Manners & Customs in Bible Lands(3 credits)
Enhancing understanding of the Bible with the actual context in the Bible times.


PROGRAM 4: Ministry Preparation and Application

1. Homiletics II (3 credits)
Advanced sermon development, with emphasis on delivering biblically sound and contextually relevant messages.

2. Apologetics (3 credits)
Defense of the Christian faith through scriptural evidence and responses to contemporary objections and cultural challenges.

3. Biblical Counseling (3 credits)
Application of Scripture to personal and spiritual problems, equipping students to counsel within the church setting.

4. Hebrew for Biblical Studies(3 credits)
is the study of biblical Hebrew to understand the Old Testament in its original language. It explores grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context to deepen scriptural interpretation and theological insights.

5. Practical Ministry Internship (3 credits)
Supervised ministry experience in a local church or mission field, with hands-on training in preaching, teaching, and administration.

6. Theology of Worship (3 credits)
Study of biblical worship, including principles for planning and leading corporate worship that glorifies God.

7. Capstone Project (3 credits)
A final research project or thesis integrating biblical and theological knowledge with practical ministry application.

Program Summary:

Total Credit Hours: 87 credits 

Program Duration: Depending on how fast you finish a program and pass the evaluation tests, it may take 3 to 4 years.
